The SEQAgRWA is a detailed study that looks at past and current water use in SEQ, including how water is
supplied, used, and traded. The project explores ideas to improve water use for farming, including both infrastructure (like dams) and non-infrastructure solutions (like water trading). These ideas were developed through discussions with stakeholders, data analysis, and economic studies to help make farming more sustainable and improve food security in the region.

This project covers areas managed by councils such as Brisbane, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Logan, Moreton Bay, Noosa, Redland, Scenic Rim, Somerset, Sunshine Coast, and Toowoomba.

This project is proudly supported through the South East Queensland City Deal - a partnership between the Australian Government, Queensland Government, and the Council of Mayors (SEQ).

Through engagement with local stakeholders - including farmers, industry groups, and water providers - this assessment is identifying and evaluating a range of possible solutions to meet the growing needs of the region.
